One Step Closer To Publication

I did it! I took one giant leap forward toward publication of my mystery. I submitted it to an agent.

Now, I know one agent doesn’t make a book, and this will probably be one of many similar steps. (Have to add the “probably.” Can’t blame me for wishing.) It was an electronic submission. It was very easy to do with a work ready to submit. I’m just thrilled that I’ve made a step forward.

One thing that really helped me was to refocus. I used a form from WhiteHatBlackBox called Keeping Focus. Truly, it made a world of difference. What I did was select five goals I wanted to move forward on to add to the form. Each day, I record my progress. The visual is good for this visual learner. It also is motivating. As much as I’m ingrained in an electronic world, I must admit to liking something tangible. I see my progress. That helps.

Today, I will celebrate my small victory. I’ve begun walking the path to publication.
