books thumb Improve Your Life with a Book Lately, I have experienced the most intense wanderlust. Fortunately, we have been able to travel. Mentally though, you can take a vacation any time. Welcome to National Read a Book Day!

Books can take you any where, in any time frame. Want to explore 19th century England? Thomas Hardy can help you there. Want to know what World War I was like? Ernest Hemingway has the answers.

Reading can relieve stress, distract you from your worries, and open your eyes to new and exciting ideas. Personally, I love classics. I love the opportunity to learn more about times before me when struggles required personal determination rather than Internet access.

Books offer insight to different lifestyle, different time periods in ways that the Internet and TV cannot. Books have the leisure of uninterrupted, untimed sessions. They can explore the depths and ranges of experience. For the best cure to your wandering thoughts, pick up a book as your passport to travel.
