Since 1938, Alfred Mosher Butts’ game of logic and vocabulary has delighted players. With over 150 million games sold worldwide, it’s only fitting that there should be a day honoring the Scrabble game. Welcome to National Scrabble Day.

Though I can hardly call myself an expert, I do enjoy the challenge of the 100 tiles. Many others do too. How else would it be known that there are 101 accepted two-letter words and 1015 three-letter words? Take up the challenge today and celebrate words with a rousing game of Scrabble.
