Stopping over from BlogHer to say hello. I have never head of a reminder program to help reduce eye strain. That is a really great idea. I am on the computer all day at work and then again at home. Way too much. I guess that's why I am not getting my reading done!

I like the idea of a National Relaxation Day. I'm exactly the same with the physical exercise. when I finish mowing the lawn or weeding, I'm on the couch with a good book for the remainder of the day. That restores my energy for the next day. However, mental fatigue is much more debilitating. I try to give myself breaks in between writing by doing a stint on the treadmill to brainstorm or rewarding myself for reaching a writing goal by sitting on the deck with a tall galss of cold iced tea! I used to camp a lot and tat was a wonderful time for getting unplugged from the phone, internet, etc. I miss that!

I just bought a new blackberry curve 8530 on saturday june 4th. The next day it started this weird thing where it would shut off on its own, act like it was going to turn back on but freeze on the BB load screen. then I was unable to turn the phone back on and had to tak the battery out. it did not matter if I left the battery out for 60 sec to over an hour but when I put the battery back in the same thing would happen. I took it back for a new one only for the same thing to happen 8 hours after the replacement was activated. Is anyone else having this problem??

Overall I like my new Curve 8530 but it seems every time I get a call or call my voicemail, the sounds quite working and the keyboard lighting does not shut off. Removing the battery for 30 seconds seems to fix this but I'm not going to do deal with that every time this happens, so I'll probably be taking the phone back for a replacement.

The ability you speak of to turn on the remote computer (or at least wake it from Sleep) was what finally sealed the deal for me. I had been eyeing remote access software from proxy Networks because I had used them at work and knew it worked well, I just could not bring myself to leave my PC on 24/7. Once I learned there was a solution for that, I went ahead and made the buy.
