Books I’d Like To Write
It’s said that everyone has a book in them. If it never sees the inside of a Barnes and Noble, I can still say I’ve written my book. It is done.
Of course, now since I’ve roused the Muse, she has a lot to say. So, I considered it; what books would I like to write?
I have sketched out some ideas for a couple of novels as part of a series with my detective, Jack Hunter. Just very general ideas of where I’m going with the story. What about those epic stories?
The other day I came across some old notebooks. I’d often get an idea and run with it. Looking back, I would be so involved with the plot. The visuals enveloped me. There were many works so begun. Most were mysteries or at least had that element about it. Some bordered on ghost stories.

I dare you not to feel cold when reading the beginning of J.S. LeFanu’s classic, “Uncle Silas“. My respect for this writing comes from making the unbelievable plausible. True talent, in my mind.
I looked back at a passage I wrote, an intro, to my own epic story. Not bad, but needs work. I’m thinking that I may begin this project if just to see what happened to Rae.
