April 8 is National D.A.R.E. Awarness Day. The D.A.R.E. program was founded in 1983 to empower kids and help them avoid the dangers of drugs, gangs, and violence.

The D.A.R.E. program reaches out to kids and reinforces a positive message about the police and staying away from bad influences they’re likely to encounter. Its mission is honorable and worthy of praise. Kids have enormous pressures in today’s world. D.A.R.E. gives them the tools to succeed.

Thank you, D.A.R.E.!
